This certification program exceeds the National Educational Standards
of Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. Robin designed and began
her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification Program in 2001 in an effort
to make YTT Certification accessible, affordable and achievable.
She is now proud to say that area Yoga Centers and places that offer
yoga are requesting her graduates, because of the good things they've
heard. Robin is now pleased to offer a 500-hour Program of Certification
as well.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
(Pre-requisite: 6 months of yoga practice)
Program Overview:
- Attend 55 Yoga Classes at Robin's Yoga &
Healing Center, LLC
- 125 Contact Hours -12 weekends (see hours
below)
- 15 non-contact hours
- Prepare outline and teach 5 yoga classes
- CPR certification
Techniques Training/Practice (100 hours)
75 contact hours, 50 with primary E-RYTs
Includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting,
mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques. These hours
must be a mix between: 1) analytical training in how to teach and practice
the techniques and 2) guided practice of the techniques themselves. Both
areas must receive substantial emphasis.
Note: Contact Hours in this category must be in a dedicated yoga teacher
training environment (into which others might occasionally be invited)
rather than in classes intended for the general public.
Teaching Methodology (25 hours)
15 contact hours, 10 with primary E-RYTs
Includes principles of demonstration, observation,
assisting and correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a
teacher, the student's process of learning and business aspects of teaching
yoga. Although your curriculum may include more than five hours on business
aspects of teaching yoga, a maximum of five such hours can be counted.
Anatomy and Physiology (20 hours)
10 contact hours
Includes both human physical anatomy
and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology
(chakras, nadis, etc.). Includes both the study of the subject and application
of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy
movement patterns, etc). A minimum of five hours must be spent applying
anatomy and physiology principles to yoga.
Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for
Yoga Teachers (30 hours)
20 contact hours
Includes the study of yoga philosophies,
yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers. A minimum of two contact
hours must be spent on ethics for yoga teachers.
Note: A minimum of 2 contact hours must be spent on ethics for yoga teachers.
Practicum (10 hours)
5 contact hours with primary E-RYTs
Includes practice teaching, receiving
feedback, observing others teaching and hearing and giving feedback. Also
includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.
Note: This will consist of attending 5 hours of classes with Marie Davis.
A minimum of 5 contact hours must be spent actively teaching (not assisting
or observing) and can be done with friends and/or family
Electives (15 hours)
Elective hours to be distributed among educational categories
according to the school’s chosen emphasis (may be contact or non-contact
hours).
55 Remaining Contact Hours
Contact hours to be distributed among educational categories
according to the school’s chosen emphasis. In our program, this
will be attending classes taught by Robin and can include 40 hours of
Ashtanga Training.
Total: 200 hours
Total Contact Hours: 180
You will also be responsible for purchasing the
textbooks, a binder, and tabbed inserts (see Cost
for Certification for more details).

Cost of 200 Hour Certification Program
We do accept American Express, Discover, Master
Card & Visa!
- The total cost of this program is $2900.
A deposit of $500, which includes a year of Unlimited Yoga classes at
Robin’s Yoga & Healing Center, LLC is to be paid to hold your
slot.
- Payments of $200/month are due by the
first of the month or $50 for each Weekday attended.
- You will also be responsible for purchasing
the textbooks and a 2-inch, 3-ring binder and a set of 20 tabbed inserts.
- A certificate will not be given
until the financial obligations have been met.
- In order to meet the 180 Contact Hours
requirement of the National Yoga Alliance, you will need to make up
YTT weekend hours missed, therefore your attendance is very important.
However, you will be allowed to make up any missed time in the following
session.
- You will be responsible for bringing
a bag lunch for yourself each week. (Refrigerator and microwave are
available.)
- Please bring a Yoga Mat and pillow to
each session along with your textbooks and 3-ring binder.

REFUND POLICY
At Robin’s Yoga & Healing Center, LLC,
you get what you paid for, so if you drop out of the program before completion,
you will be refunded at a rate of $100/day for the dates that you will
not be attending.
