Have you tried a variety of “diets” with only temporary or partial success? Have you experienced the frustrating and not so uncommon phenomenon of actually putting on a few extra pounds?? Would you like to achieve and maintain your ideal weight in a healthy, natural way that leaves you feeling great?

Yoga is about celebrating life not drudgery and deprivation. The concepts presented at this Yoga for Weight Loss and Conditioning workshop will help you develop a leaner more fit body while also helping you become more aware of your internal environment and the food and lifestyle choices that feel right for you- paving the way for long-term permanent change.

This workshop will combine lecture/discussion, yoga practice, and self-discovery exercises. The yoga practice will incorporate a vinyasa (flowing with the breath) style of yoga emphasizing postures, which will increase metabolism, aid in digestion and elimination, as well as increase strength and flexibility. Modifications will be offered to accommodate different body types. There will also be a strong focus on breathing fully and deeply and becoming more aware of your internal environment.

This workshop is appropriate for the beginning-stage yoga student as well as the advanced practitioner. Participants should have some previous experience with yoga. This class is for those wanting to shed just a few or many pounds. This workshop is even for those individuals who may be “thin” but find themselves ruled by “diets” and exercise. This class is for anyone who wants to feel more alive and comfortable in their own body!!
